Abstract : Education, as other regulatory systems, faces a wave of changes and challenges. Among those challenges is the knowledge density which might cause knowledge gaps in the educational institutions which require them to implement several developmental programs especially in the field of administrative performance in order to be able to perform the roles assigned to them effectively. Accordingly, this study tackled “Proposed model for the development of administrative performance in the Department of Girls’ Education in Al Rass in light of an introduction to knowledge management”. This study aims to identify the reality of administrative performance in the Department of Girls’ Education in light of an introduction to knowledge management, and then propose an applicable model for knowledge management. The study population consists of the supervisors to whom administrative assignments entrusted (principals, assistants, department heads and senior supervisors). The study population was the study sample which its number amounted to 69 supervisors. The descriptive methodology has been used. A questionnaire has also been developed as a tool for collecting the information from the study population members. The stability of the study population was measured using the Coronbach’s Alpha Coefficient after being arbitrated by specialized arbitrators. The field study data has been processed using the following statistical techniques (Arithmetic means, Standard Deviations as well as the Frequencies and Percentages to draft the proposed model). Study Findings: 1. The study population members confirmed that the knowledge management processes in the Department of Girls’ Education are practiced at a low rate. 2. The maximum average of knowledge management processes in the Department of Girls’ Education in Al Russ was reached at the knowledge storage process, while the minimum average was reached at the knowledge application process. 3. Design an applicable model proposed for developing the administrative performance in light of an introduction to knowledge management. Study Recommendations: 1. The Department of Education should adopt the knowledge management as a strategic vision from which to start. 2. Adopt the application of the proposed model for knowledge management after determining the objective of development in the Department. 3. Disseminate the knowledge management culture and provide the appropriate environments for knowledge enabling.
